415 Westlake Building Project
South Lake Union’s 415 Westlake is the current home of Union Church and our Kakao Café and 415 Westlake Event Venue. The building, started in the 1940’s as a Volkswagen dealership and has gone through many changes over the decades. Now, it’s time to reimagine the future of this property in partnership with our neighbors to the south, at 411 Westlake.
POSITIVE COMMUNITY IMPACT
After a 4 year process of evaluating the possibilities of this property, we are excited to announce we are in the development process for a new building. This building will provide much needed housing for Seattle and continue to be home for Union Church, Kakao Café and 415 Westlake Event Venue.
Looking to THE FUTURE
“We are very excited to have this opportunity to continue to partner with our South Lake Union neighbors by offering a flexible space that serves as a hub for a wide range of community activities. This project will enlarge Union’s venue and worship space, increase our capacity to be for the neighborhood and continue to provide for Union’s Kakao Café patrons,” said James B. Notkin, Co-Pastor of Union Presbyterian Church.
