Giving is an expression of worship. It provides a way to respond to the generosity of God and what God has done in our lives. Giving provides another way we can participate with God in “seeking the welfare“ of others so that there may be greater equality and wholeness. 

A couple of thoughts to inform your giving:

1. “God loves a cheerful giver” — so we give out of thankfulness and love, not guilt.

2. Everything we have belongs to God so we are not giving God part of “my wealth”—we are managing all of what God has given us and our giving is acknowledgement of Who truly owns what we have.
